These shackles truly give you a feeling of being unable to escape! They require a key to both open and close, making them very secure handcuffs as you can't *accidentally* close them.

They are, believe it or not, very comfortable to wear and offer slightly more freedom of movement than other "police cuffs," which can be very convenient.

They are also very good for self-bondage because, as long as you have access to the key, they are relatively easy to open even if you are the one restrained.
However, keep this in mind if there are several of you playing: keep the key out of reach of the person who is restrained.

These shackles are not adjustable, so it's important to have the right size so that they don't become too tight or that you can simply slip out of them without opening them.
Darby handcuffs are most comfortable when the part closest to the chain is under the thumb joint.
